One step closer

I have an update on Penore's little Panamanian project. I just got home from the bookstore after picking up my favorite magazines. On the cover of one of them was the headline "Panama's Megaproject". Seems they think it is time to expand the canal. It is only a doubling but I believe for a few year's work on Penore's part, that's quite a good start.

I am betting that by the time they actually start blasting someone will say: "you know, as long as we are here, why don't we just double the strength of the TNT."

You do, of course realize that they are digging very close to the intersection of two tectonic plates. Penore's real plan is for a massive earthquake between the two plates.

As seen in the map on the right, 14 million years ago Panama was under water and the Cocos plate, Nazca plate and Caribbean plate were in a three way waltz.

What is not realized is that there is a massive empty hole under the canal that was left when the Nazca plate moved under the Caribbean plate.
Penore has calculated the correct amount of earth removal and explosive power to make the plates split and the Pacific to rush into the empty cavity causing erosion on a scale unseen in the modern era.

Penore doesn't mind me telling you this because she knows you won't believe it.
